Servicing Mission Orbital Verification Update

HST Project Update

The science program has resumed.Since SM3A, 15 GO programs have been executed with WFPC2 and science with the STIS CCD has been ongoing.

The Articulated Mirror Assembly (AMA) was adjusted in the new Fine Guidance Sensor 2R (FGS 2R) to optimize performance across the field of view. The optical alignment activity for FGS 2R is now complete.

The Flight Support System (FSS) and ORUC were successfully removed from Discovery's cargo bay, and transported back to the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility (PHSF). Post mission deintegration work started on the Orbital Replacement Unit (ORU) Carrier (ORUC). The Contingency ORU Protective Enclosure (OPE), Large OPE, Axial Science Instrument Protective Enclosure (ASIPE) shelf and Extra-Vehicular Activity (EVA) hardware have been removed, packed, and shipped to GSFC.
